my bf who loves me very much calls his best female friend bae

he doesnt like her (i snooped thru his texts and believe me he soesnt) but it hurts that he calls her bae. i later confessed to snooping dw i know it was wronf

how do i deal w this? i dont want to ask him to stop but it makes me feel so hurt and unloved when he calls othwr girls like that and he always tells me i can talk to him abr everythinf that bothers me but how do i tell him that? i feel embarrassed and if he calls her that it isnt a big deal to me so maybe i should get over it and accept it because it seems pet names arent important to him as rhey are to me. i mean, theyre cute but okay :(
