He told me he wants to marry me. To soon for just a promise ring??

In March I broke up with my boyfriend we grew apart. We never had a spark I didn't enjoy the sex or really even kissing him. We broke up on mutual terms. A few couple weeks later I met this amazing guy we decided to go on a date. it was kinda awkward like every first date would be like. I invited him to come to my cousins buck and doe since I broke up with the date I was going to take. My grandma insisted she payed to get us a room and the bed and breakfast she was staying at with my brother and his girlfriend too so she got us 2 rooms. So we drove the 2 hour dive to the buck and doe. We talked about everything things we enjoy about our break ups. It was like I was talking to a best friend that I just met it was an instant connection. So we get to the bed and breakfast and meet up with my grandma and she was so happy to meet him. He finally met my brother and his girlfriend. It was an instant bromance between the to of them. We get ready go to the buck and doe. Everyone was happy to meet him. We started to drink and just have fun we danced all night long. Not that trashy bar dancing but we 2 Stepped all night. after the night was done we walked back the the b&b; he was really nervous and got scared and told me that we couldn't see each other again bc he or was scared he has had bad past realtionship he has always been hurt. So I looked at him and I told him I better make tonight count. He asked if he could have a kiss. I kissed him I can't even explain the feeling I had it was something I have never had before. When we got back to the b&b; I told him he could just sleep with me. So we cuddled then we started kissing again and it went from there. We Never did have sex that night. we kinda slowed down talking to eachother after that. the one night I went to the pub going He was there. I walked into the pub and seen him sitting there so i asked if the seat was taking. Ever since that night I knew I wanted him so for a month we would go out have fun. Then in April 24 he picked me up came to my door with flowers and ice cream bc I was sick, he took me to the river and asked me to be his girl friend he lit the bed of his box up with mason jars and candles and we danced and talked all night. I use to terrify him bc he always thought i was too good to be true for him. He told me that he wants to get me a promise ring for my birthday which is August 2. I told him the only ring I want is a promise ring but I don't want it on my birthday. I told him the only thing I want for my birthday is roses since I have never got roses. He tells me one day he will marry me. I love this guy so much I have never loved anyone like this. do you think it's too soon for a promise ring? only dating 4 months. thanks in advance.
