Pretty sure no one is telling women they have to take birth control to be a feminist...

What's more disturbing is that people don't even bother to truly educate themselves on the feminist movement before they say something ignorant about it. I feel in every movement there are extremist and I've come across some extreme feminist, but that doesn't account for the majority. If a person believes that's what being a feminist means they are ignorant and oblivious to the ways of society.

You don't give up your "womanhood" by taking birth control. Many women, like myself, take it for medical reasons and not just to prevent pregnancy. I think it's ridiculous that this is being put out there too shame women that do take birth control.

I think sokme of you are confused. This going woman has written her opinion on a card and Buzzfeed chose to respect her by sharing it. Buzzfeed isn't responsible for her writing, they are just sharing it so their readership can know the opinions of others.

I think she might mean that she doesn't have to give up her punani (I have never used that word in my life but it seemed fitting) to be a feminist.  It's like she's saying she gets that the sexual revolution/women's liberation made it cool for everybody to have sex with everybody else, but that she's doesn't need to do that to be a feminist? That's my read on it bht idk. Seems like it could be a little dig on sexually active women or it could just be to start a convo. Idk :)
