Plan B

I told myself if Plan B works, then I will tell my story to share with all of you. Firstly, you must know a few things about me. I am a heavier set, breastfeeding woman with irregular periods. July 12, I had unprotected sex with my husband. We are in a weird stage in life right now and we don't want another baby. He told me he pulled out and we know that his medications are making him sterile, but we wanted to take an extra step in ensuring that we didn't have another baby. Five hours after the act I took Plan B. I am a huge worry wart! I was doing all of my research, going through countless stories of Plan B successes and fails. I think my what made me worry the most was that the majority of the stories were non-breastfeeding. Everyone knows the it's an legend that breastfeeding makes it way easier for you to get pregnant, so I was freaking out. Looking up and down for breastfeeding and Plan B stories. I couldn't find any, then I started to think I was possibly ovulating July 12, that only brought up studies that Plan B didn't work on ovulating women. I began to worry. So a week passed and nothing, no period, no spotting, no cramps, nothing. I thought that I may soon be telling my husband we had another baby on the way. I started to look at what I knew and trying to calm myself. Didn't work, but I made a pretty impressive list. Yesterday, I decided to take a pregnancy test because my period was late. It was negative. That calmed me a little, but I thought I may have taken it too early, but today I got my period. Three days late. What I can tell you is that, in my circumstances, it worked. Take Plan B as soon as possible, make sure you eat before or after so you don't throw it up, most symptoms of pregnancy will present themselves after taking Plan B, and if you are a worry wart like me, just take a pregnancy test to give you some peace of mind. Plan B worked for me, and hopefully it will work for you. P.S. Plan B DOES NOT EFFECT YOUR BABY. It does however decrease your milk production for awhile.
