Cm: what to look for

So my husband and I are trying for baby number 2. With our first, we didn't track or anything and we were blessed after 2 months. I feel the need to track this time for whatever reason and I am trying to figure out the different types of CM. So today I checked and my finger was wet when it came out and I could just barely see something that looked a little white and cloudy. What does this mean as far as ovulation is concerned? What type of CM would tell me that I am ovulating?
