I'm 16, I have an 18 year old brother, and a 12 year old sister

My mom and dad both are alcoholics and my mom is in recovery and my dad has decreased his drinking incredibly! The best thing my mom ever did for my family was go to rehab this past march. My family always had another member and it was alcohol and it almost destroyed my family. My parents have never been abusive, but when drunk were completely different and out of control people. My mother and brother's relationship is still being mended from alcoholism and my relationship with my mother is much better. Alcohol has always been a part of my life and I wish someone would have told my parents how toxic it is to a family. I'm not saying you shouldn't drink, but please check in with yourself occasionally and see if alcohol is effecting any relationships you have will people including yourself. 😊
