Would skipping period work with this BC?

Hey all! So me and my fiancé are in a long distance relationship at the moment and he's visiting me at the end of September. That is unfortunately the week of my entire period! I heard that you can skip a period by continuing taking birth control without stopping for the days of menstruating. This brand I'm using contains both, estrogen and progesterone. I have the time to try and see if it works in August but then would it be alright to skip period for 2 months?

If I know that it's a confirmed method I would only do it in September. I really need some advice!
