What to pack for trip

Question

Ok I'm a FTM and will have a 3 month old by the time our trip comes in a month. We are flying to Vegas, it'll be a three hour flight and it'll be a four night stay. The basics are: I'm bringing a stroller but no car seat, just going to hold her on lap I think (unless that's a horrible idea), getting a room with two beds so she can sleep swaddled safely in the middle of her own queen size one. Other than that what all should I pack for her so she has all she needs and I don't over or under pack?? What should be in diaper bag versus checked? Any tips for her ears on the plane? Such a FTM and very new baby for a big trip like this. 😬 thanks in advance

Most hotels will have pack n plays readily available for kids and babies. I'd definitely check with your front desk and use a pack n play rather than the bed. Sleeping on a bed isn't safe for a baby. They can't breathe as well on soft surfaces. And are you going to need a car seat once you're actually in vegas? Because I'd definitely pack it. Otherwise baby can't really go anywhere unless you walk lol for traveling, do not be afraid to overpack. We haven't done a flight with our daughter yet but we've done long car rides and preparation is SO important. Outside of the basics like diapers and wipes and extra clothing, I'd definitely bring disinfectant wipes. Definitely a blanket and/or long sleeves in case the plane is chilly. Socks and as well. If you're chilly then they probably are as well. Some type of toy that makes some sort of sound (just not music lol) to keep them distracted when needed. It's kind of an odd age because they're not quite old enough to play with toys like that. But if they have something at home that they love and it makes them happy, bring it! If they're formula fed, be sure to bring extra formula and bottles. I know for my daughter, feeding her can be a great distraction in certain situations. Bring extras of EVERYTHING. You may not touch any of it but you definitely don't want to be in the middle of the flight with a blow out diaper and not enough wipes or no backup onesie or whatever it may be haha I'd also probably bring a carrier of some sort if possible. My daughter loves being close to me and with them being so little, it would make me feel a lot better anyways to keep germs away a bit. We use our Moby Wrap and our Infantino Wrap constantly. So if your baby likes them then it may be a great way to keep them sleepy and calm throughoyt the flight.

I believe 3 months is a bit early for flying in terms of safety for baby.
