8 year old constantly having accidents please help!

my 8 year old son keeps having accidents i suppose its that he has to pee so much that when he takes out his penis to pee he starts peeing before he can aim. he says he goes to the bathroom as soon as he feels the urge.... SO is getting upset about it how our son is getting older and shouldnt be having accidents so often. my son says he cant help it. what can i do? edit- just to let you all know i already have a appointment scheduled for his check up, i will ask then. it just seems urgent. i was sort of hoping other moms of boys had had this issue! thankd everyone =)
