Baby not saying words ??

My daughter will be 14 months next week. She only says momma and papa! Is it normal she hasn't said anything else?? Anyone else going through this?? What words do ur little ones say?

My little boy's vocabulary has exploded over the last several weeks. He's up to around 15-20 words that he uses daily. Some are super helpful (ouch, uh-oh), some sort of useless (duck, moo, vroom-vroom). But to put things in perspective, he's 14 months old and not walking. He's taken 2-3 steps here and there, but will not commit to walking. In fact, he's learned how to crawl with something in each hand, so why bother walking at all? 🙄 Really, I think his brain has just been busy working on vocabulary and thinking rather than gross motor skills. It's why they say "every baby is different." Mine can say lots of words and even a couple short sentences/phrases, but I'm betting yours can literally run circles around mine. Soon enough they'll catch up to each other in both and this worry we all get caught up in will be a distant memory.

At my daughter's 1 year check they said it is normal to say 2-3 words. my daughter will be 14 months on the 15th and says "mama," "dada," and "yeah, yeah." She "talks" A LOT! but it's all gibberish. She gets her point across.

My son is 13 months and has a whole vocabulary of words. What i found worked for us were flash cards and sign language. we started him out at 6 months and i think the repetitiveness of it all just clicked for him. he knows at minimum 40 words that he uses on a daily basis.

I tend to start to freak out about this a lot.. My babe says ya, dad, mom, and shoe. Not sure how she picked up shoe of all words but she's so interested in them so it stuck! I'm learning she is so smart, but stubborn. She listens to commands and shows she's learning so that's giving me peace of mind. She recently learned where her belly button is 😂😊

My LO is 14 months and was born with a cleft palate which has set him back in speaking, so I worry about this a lot also. Since his repair he has improved leaps and bounds! From what his specialists say, your LO seems to be doing just fine! Mine can say 5-6 word and the rest is gibberish, but he understands a lot  more than I realize. I try to read to him a lot, sing songs, and make conversation with him even if he has nothing really to say. If I don't I find that I get too quiet and I'm afraid he's not getting enough engagement. I'm a SAHM, so I'm his main source of conversation. Its easy sometimes to get lost going through the motions, so find things that you like to talk to your baby about! Maybe you have a pet they love, maybe they like books, maybe they love going outside. Anything can be a learning opportunity (I've found), if you take advantage of it. Repetition and consistency are also really good. Repeat the sounds they make, repeat words that are associated with their favorite things. Momma and Daddy are important things in their lives that they have a strong association with and that's probably why they like those words. You're doing great!

My lo is almost 14 months and can say a few recognizable words. Bye-bye, momma, baby, no-no, titty (our dogs name is tipsy and he knows how to call her lol). He's learning so fast but I didn't think he would catch on this fast!

My youngest will be 14mo the 24th and he only says mama and dada also. His pedi mentioned something but I'm not concerned, every child develops at their own pace. There is a chance he says shit too.. even though we've been telling ourselves that can't possibly be what he's saying Lol 😬🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
