How fast can you get your splits?

Question

I made the cheer team this year and the coach is wanting everyone to have their splits by homecoming. Homecoming is in about 5 weeks and I'm about 5-6 inches from getting a full splits. Is it possible to get the splits in that time frame? I'm just curious

Going with the hot shower thing also when you are stretching just through out the day. Try running in place for like 30 seconds to a minute to warm up the muscles and after some intense stretching remember to shake your legs like butterfly pose.

a good thing to do is to stretch alot when you get out of a hot bath bc that's when your muscles are relaxed and you can stretch them. I had to have the splits when I was in school in a 3 week time frame for tryouts. And every night I stretched after I got out of the bath. But also stretch anytime. like when you're watching tv or just sitting around. get on the floor and just stretch.
