24 hour fetal heart rate monitoring?

I was in a car accident and am now at the hospital where they want to monitor the baby continuously for 24 hours with the same monitor as an NST. Has anyone had this done? I'm worried about all the Doppler exposure though I do trust the doctors.

Doppler as in ultrasound? Ultrasounds are just sound waves bouncing back to the receiver and completely harmless. Any most monitoring equipment that is external is also completely harmless.

I was in your shoes but not monitored for a whole 24 hours. They monitor is fine, though. I hope you're doing well!

I was in the hospital for a week on the monitors and it never even occurred to me that the exposure might be too much. She's ok though, she's 8, almost 9 now.
