Back on birth control? (LONG)

Question

Let me start with: I know they're doctors. I know they told me this for a reason. I just want opinions and stories. After a MMC in June and a chemical in July, my OB wants me to get BACK on birth control for 3 months before TTC again. She didn't suggest safe sex.. just straight back on birth control. I don't understand why? I was thinking (even though I know they said they're not related) that BC could've been the reason for my miscarriage in the first place. I know it thins the lining of the uterus which makes an unsafe living space for an unborn baby. So based on your guys past experiences, should I get back on BC, just have safe sex for awhile, or what? Any others moms who have miscarried right after stopping birth control? Thanks in advance.

you know my dr said the same thing and also said wait 3 moths to try again and then I  start reading a lot and there is nothing cientific about that so i started ttc again i didn't even wait the first cycle even though I don't think that i concieve this month maybe next  well i was 4 w 4 d it was a chimical pregnancy so they didn't have to do the D.c thank God i just had like my period it was long like 5 days but if you had an early lost and it was natural is safe to ttc again so it depends dr told me to be in bc again and  i said hell no if you are not ready to ttc again use condoms i don't like the 2 effect  of the pill

My doctor suggested going back on it after my miscarriage so that my cycles would regulate again and I could get back to tracking while trying to conceive again.

I would ask your doctor why.  You should be on the same page as them when it comes to what your plans are.
