Like how everyone suddenly changes their tune.
I was telling everyone before I found out the babies gender that she was a girl. Everyone- everyone- except one friend and my spouse (he changed his mind a few weeks in to agree with me), thought my baby was a boy. It wasn't a big deal, but damn was it annoying!!! Everyone swore up and down, constantly reminded me their opinions, and brought up so much stuff (like old wives tales, and "proof" because I was sick or had this symptom etc), and insisted it was a boy. I was told all the time. All the time. It was brought up so much. I kept insisting it was a girl, and everyone just said "no, you just want it to be a girl" "if it's not a girl don't be disappointed, because I think it's a boy".
It was getting old.
The day I find out it's a girl and I tell everyone, suddenly they're all changing their tune. Saying "oh I knew it all along", or "oh I told so and so the morning you went in it's a girl".
Like no. Stop. You alllll thought it was a boy, and didn't want to hear my opinion for a minute, despite me being the mother and having a very distinct connection to the idea- you all dismissed me.
It's really not a big deal, but lord did it bug me when everyone acted like they were right all along.
