Question, help ?

On august 10 I took in my 4 year old daughter to her drs appointment because her leg was hurting well as they always do the dr checked her ears and she said one ear was kind of red that's all she said I asked her is it an infection she said no ? 🤔 she asked if it hurt and my daughter said no

My question is can the ear be red without an infection ? She didn't tell me anything about taking her back for a check up or anything ?? I ask my daughter if it hurts and she's no

I'm just worried if it was an infection and she didn't prescribe her anything
