Graco MyRide 65

We just purchased this car seat as a secondary one for my car. We have the maxi cosi pria 70 and didn't want to drop another $250 on a car seat for one that won't get as much use! I checked and this one doesn't have a model number that was part of the recall. I've read conflicting info on whether or not this car seat would be allowed or fit on a regular economy airline flight? Does anyone that owns this know? Have you successfully been able to use this on an airplane? On Amazon, one customer said they were made to gate check them! Thanks!!
