Terrified mum

Okay so my almost 3 month old often wakes up congested and stuffy nosed anyway tonight he was particularly bad and my husband used the bulb nasal aspirator I've since read these are not the best type so will purchase a new one tomorrow but... I am so worried he stuck it up too high.. baby obviously screamed through the whole process which I'm assuming is normal but then afterwards went bright red and was drooling like spit bubbles and kept taking like a deep breathe and like eyes would Roll back slightly and would seem in shock.. he did this about 5 times I passed him to my husband to calm him because it was worrying me too much after only a few minutes his calmed down and gone to sleep but has this happened to anyone else before ?
