Plz help❗️❗️❗️

Ok so this guy I like sooooooooo much was flirting with me like a lot and he told he was going to ask me out.... but then the day after he told me that he was going to ask me out, he totally stopped talking to me...they one day I texted him "heyy" and he said " hey I think we should just be friends" just out of the blue..... then I just recently I got the nerve to ask him why he stopped talking to me. He said he was going though some stuff and the he decided not the like me, and that he would be a bad boyfriend.... I don't know what to do, I really like him and I really want to date him but he won't even talk to me.....
