Eye vision question ?

I do have an eye appointment in October but I just want some opinions as I have hypochondria I worry what I have could be dangerous or something?

For the past 2 and half months I've been having like blurry distorted vision but only for things far away everything close I see perfect and another thing is occasionally one of my eye feels like I have something in it like a small tiny. White film and when I rub it it's usually like a small tiny eye booger sometimes it's nothing but only one eye. So could this mean I need glasses ?

If any of you have glasses what were your symptoms that you needed some ?
