Fingertips going numb?

When I wake up my fingertips on my left hand are numb, and I'm not laying on that arm or anything so that's not why, is this something to be concerned about or is it normal? I'm 36 weeks

carpal tunnel? during pregnancy your blood volume increases and causes veins and arteries to swell. there are multiple veins arteries, tendons nerves and ligaments that have to travel through the carpal tunnel into your hands. and the tunnel itself is only about as big around as a pencil, if things start swelling it puts pressure on the nerves traveling through the tunnel as well and can cause numbness and tingling in the hands and arms.... I had it around 14 weeks. wear a wrist brace at night to keep your wrists straight and not put any extra pinching on the carpal tunnel... about 4 or 5 days of that and mine went away... if it comes back I put my brace back on....

It could be pregnancy induced carpel tunnel.. I get it with every pregnancy.

Yep, carpal tunnel ☹️ I'm 39 weeks and my right hand has been numb for weeks now, it's worse at night and I wake up with my hands stuck shut. Doctor recommended a wrist brace. She said it should go away around 6 weeks after delivery
