Alone in a new city

I just moved to a new city and I don't know anyone except for my roommate who is also my best friend. This is our 4th year living together and I love her and we do things together but I'm starting to feel lost because I have no other friends here. I'm taking a break from school and starting a new job where everyone is much older than me and I have such bad anxiety that it's extremely hard for me to leave the house and go to new places so I basically have no way to meet anyone else. If any of y'all have any advice or even just kind words, it would be much appreciated. 😕
