What to buy for a 4-6 month old !?

My goddaughter will be 3 months old on Christmas but I want to start buying her stuff now . What’s something she’ll need by 4-6 months like for toys or whatever? I’m already getting her clothes.

I would ask the mom what she would hope to get! Your goddaughter won’t remember it, so something cute, but practical could work. You also don’t want to get her something that the mom doesn’t intend on using for her. For example, if someone got my son something that was plastic, flashy, and made noises, it would probably go to goodwill. Don’t go overboard! 
To give you an idea, my son is 4 months at Christmas so I’m hoping to get maybe a few bath toys, silk scarves (for play) and possibly a zoo pass for the summer. A handmade item would be great (blanket, toy, etc)!

Just little toys. The mom will probably hate you for it but stuff that’s sings or plays music and has lights. By around that time they start to become more aware of things. My LO is 4 months and he’s starting to love that kind of stuff. Maybe some terriers as that’s about the age they start chewing on everything and teething will come soon after.
