Should people that commit crimes against the elderly be given longer sentences?

For clarification:

I think it’s safe to say that the majority of elderly people are a lot more vulnerable than young, healthy adults. With that being said, should people that commit crimes against the elderly be given longer sentences due to the elderly being an “easier target”?

EX: just throwing numbers out there let’s say that robbing someone can get you 5 years. Should it be that if you rob an old woman instead of 5 years you get 8?

EX: once again just throwing numbers out there but let’s say that conning a 25-year-old out of their money would get you 5 years in jail but if it’s an elderly man then maybe you’ll get 8 years instead due to the elderly generally being more prone to fall for a con.

*** even though this question is specifically about the elderly, if you voted yes then should it also apply to other people that would be “easy targets” in society’s eye (aka the disabled, children, etc)
