What to expect?

So, after a year of TTC, a few rounds of Femara and Letrozole and ending with 3 rounds of Clomid, my OB says she wants to refer me to a fertility specialist. Once I get my insurance situated (just quit a horrible job) I’m definitely going but I just wanted to know what I should expect? What will the first visit be like or what was it like in your experience? Did they run blood work on your first visit?
Thanks in advance! I’m a little anxious.

First appointment is a lot of questions, sometimes bloodwork (they like to get day 2/3 and around day 21, so that depends on where you are in your cycle). They might do an internal ultrasound (it's not bad... awkward at first, but not painful). They'll schedule other tests for both you and your partner. Then they'll schedule a follow up to go over all the test results. Some places also go over your insurance benefits with you.

I am surprised they put you on all of those things without a specialist or tests etc. Especially before a year. Did they do why tests first?
