Would you allow a Child Sex offender to baby sit your kids (dating situation didn't actually hurt a child)? And DHR knows and hasn't done anything!

Even knowing this isn't allowed someone we know has allowed their friend (the cso) to watch the children. What's your opinion on this? I'm trying to see if I'm over exaggerating. The situation that caused him to be a cso is a dating situation not actually harming a child intentionally...not sure if this makes since..
