Is it rude?

I don't have any space for people to by my 9month old toys for christmas, he already has plenty of toys, What we do need for him are bigger sized clothes and some new bedding.  would it be rude to put a message on Facebook to friends and family saying if they are stuck on ideas of what to get him to get clothes or something not too large?

I think if you stick to saying something similar to “if you’re stuck” and kept out the part about not getting anything large then it should go over completely fine. I’d probably go with something like “if you’re stuck on what to get, clothes are always appreciated” or something simple to that degree. Don’t stress too much! <3

I don’t think it’s rude with it being October... throw out the idea into the open now. If you kept quiet and everyone got toys and THEN you said “but we need: _______” it would be a bit rude.

nope. Let people know what you need before Christmas. I take it back if they don't listen. and if they as where xyz is I say I told them I didn't have room in the first place. I think it's more rude to gift my child something I don't have the room for.

You can always start an Amazon wish list. You're able to put things on there from
other websites, too. So you can pick out clothes from other sites and add it to the list. My family always asks for a list every Christmas, so I started doing the Amazon thing. If there are things I know he doesn't need, I do tell them but it's all in how you word it. I usually say something like, "If you are looking for some ideas, he is all set with toys, but he can really use some clothes for the next season in xx size." You can politely steer them away from buying him toys, but you can't prevent them from buying them, unfortunately.
