I Was Told Never Let My Newborn Sleep On Her Stomach But I Can Tell She Is More Comfortable Doing So (She Sleeps Longer) . My Question Is Do You ?

My child wasn’t allowed to sleep on her stomach until she could roll. Yeah some people do it, but my daughter’s safety is more important to me than getting a little extra sleep.

If you let her sleep on her stomach supervised she will expect it at night as well. It's better to not start that bad habit. Safe sleep is on their back, on a flat surface with nothing else in their crib besides a pacifier if you choose. My son has special sleep arrangements due to medical issues and is hooked up to a pulse ox machine that tells me how well he is breathing. I still get nervous about him sleeping on his back or sides.

That’s the only way my four-month-old will sleep. He’s been sleeping on his stomach since he was six weeks old.. his doctors know and they were fine with it he’s always had strong head control and now he’s starting to roll.

It was the only way she would sleep after 2 weeks old. If I laid her on her back it was a scream fest, there was no calming her. Lay her on her stomach and she would immediately fall asleep. Even now at 7 mo old and she can roll she stays on her stomach occasionally lays on her side but not often.

My 7 week old sleeps on his belly but only on my chest while I’m holding him. When he sleeps on his own he sleeps on his back.
