My birth story

Tashauna

On Friday September 8th I was 37 weeks and 4 days and I went to the hospital for very painful contractions. When I got there they checked me and hooked me up to the machines. They told me I was 3 cm dilated and 50%. The contractions had slowed to a point where they were barely noticeable but still there. They told me to walk around for 2 hours and come back. When I got back to the room they checked me again and nothing had changed so they sent me home and told me that it was just cramps and that if I feel contractions again to come back. I was perfectly fine all weekend. Not one contraction. On Tuesday September 12, I went to the doctors for my 38 week appointment. He checks me and tells me that he's going to schedule me for induction on Thursday. That night I wasn't feeling well so I went to bed around 8. I couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep and I kept waking up every hour. On Sept 13 at 4:05am my water broke at home and the contractions started and were coming minutes apart. I arrive at the hospital8 at 4:30am and was ready to push. They didn't have the time to admit me, check me, or hook me up to the machines. They wheeled me straight into the delivery room and at 4:47am my beautiful baby girl, Dominique Rose, was born weighing 6lbs and 12oz.
