Baby number 2?

Hello there! This is for all my mommas with 2 or more children. I currently have an amazing "baby" boy who will be 2 in February. My husband and I have been talking about the idea of adding a second blessing into our lives next year, meaning we would have to start trying in the next few months. Im not necessarily afraid of the pregnancy but more so the effect itll have on baby boy? Im terrified i wont have time for him or he will miss me (major mommas boy). What was your experience? Did you feel like your oldest "suffered"? Or is this just momma guilt?

What your darling "loses" in you, he will gain in a lifelong best friend... it will be fine. Make time for BOTH of them individually but he will adjust. Give him every opportunity to be an asset to his little siblings life. 3 year old make amazing diaper runners, bottle holders and lullaby singers :) your heart will grow and melt a million times

I was worried and had those guilty feelings during my second pregnancy, but my eldest is so happy being a big brother now. He’s always wanting to include his baby brother in things and to be honest, I have found it relatively easy so far to balance time with both kids. I think we all feel the guilt but things fall into place and kids are suprisingly adaptable.

Just had my second 7 weeks ago. From the very get go we told my son (hes 3 now) he was going to have a little sibling. I kept telling him mommys having a baby and that he was going to he a big brother. I even got him a baby doll so he could see me caring for it and so he could learn to be gentle. 
I think telling him from the very start about his little sister helped him so much because  there has not been one ounce of resentment or jealousy from him. He went backwards on potty training but i expected that. He is absolutely amazing with his little sister and has been since the day he met her in the hospital.

I feel that way about both my children all the time. It's "mom's guilt". I work full time, will I miss something important, will they miss me? I'm giving our 8 month old a bath, is our 2yr old jealous? I'm coloring with our 2yr old does our 8 month old feel left out? Ect... and yes we were terrified we wouldn't love our son(#2) as much as our daughter, my husband especially felt this way. The thing is your heart just grows and makes room for all the extra love a second child brings. Our babies are 16 months apart and we couldn't imagine our life without them and the love they have for each other even from the start is so incredible!! Yes they fight yes there is jealousy but it is so worth it!!

I had my 3rd child 4 months ago. My boys are 5 and 3 and they adore having a little sister. They’re actually a big help (sometimes) with the baby- because they want to be good big brothers. My middle child is actually ecstatic that he now gets to also be a big brother and my eldest is enjoying ‘teaching him to be a good big brother’. My husband and I just make sure our boys still get tucked in at night with a story and things like that. We make sure their daily routines aren’t completely altered and they still get individual time with Mum and dad. 
When my younger son was born my eldest (he was 2 at the time) was great with him from the start. He didn’t struggle with the additional family member at all. My husband and I would take turns doing something with him while the other parent took care of the baby. It could’ve been something like making cookies, going grocery shopping where he got to pick a cereal or snack he liked or something bigger like going to the zoo. That’s how my parents handled having 4 kids- they just made sure we each got individual attention at times. We called it ‘special time’. We plan on continuing this with our two sons know that our daughter is born. But it’s been a little harder due to me still not being able to be as active as I normally am since having our daughter.
