DD calls grandparents Mama and Papa and DH is not happy about it..

Amy

Our daughter is 20 months and has been calling them Mama Papa very confidently. It’s never really bothered me but my husband hates that they encourage it instead of encouraging grandma and grandpa which I constantly say after she says mama papa (she says mama papa and I say yeah grandma grandpa!) I’m guessing she calls them that mainly because that’s what I call them so it’s understandable especially because she started calling me and dh by his first name too which makes matters worse for DH.

Has this been a problem for any of you parents ? I don’t even consider it a problem and see it as something she’ll grow out of soon but DH feels annoyed and hurt that when we say “Go to Papa” she has to think about which papa to go to 🤷🏽‍♀️

What do I do? Tell husband to suck it up or tell grandparents to stand back a bit with the name calling. Any input would be great!
