If attacked for rape, how should you try to defend yourself?

As women, I think it's important to be aware of things we can try to do to protect ourselves. Having a just in case plan may help us someday! (I hope none of us have to try any of these methods...)

I tried a few of those things to no avail...be careful doing those things. If he’s trying to rape you, he will certainly have no issue hurting you back....

Knee him in the crotch hard enough to injure him. If you have fake nails/keys/sharp ring, go for his eyes.  This will give you enough time to find help or call the cops. Make sure you are able to identify the man as well(just in case)

Eh. I found that it didn’t matter. I said no and said to stop. I was crying. I froze. I wasn’t able to fight back. If you can and find that it will help, do whatever you can to fight back. That wasn’t really an option for me.

Even though it helps to have a plan just in case of an attack like rape (or of any kind really), but I truly feel if a person was to have the nerve to approach me In such a forceful way with bad intentions, I may not be prepared or even able to do the things I’ve been confident I would be able to do theoretically. In that case it would still not be my fault even though I thought I had it all figured out. Things happen differently then we may be able to imagine them. Even though it’s good to have a backup plan, I think it’s also important to know. If someone forces themselves on to you & you had no idea what to do & you tried doing what you could & it still didn’t work. It’s still not your fault & it’s not always so easily done in the moment.

Well, I have my concealed carry permit. ☺️ I am VERY proficient at using my weapon. If someone chose to attack me, that day would be their funeral. Which is great cause I’m always wearing black!
