Is CC a Politics/Debate Group?

Pretty sure this is a debate group but I guess it is arguable since there are so many random posts that aren't remotely debatable. Do you get annoyed when people post unrelated topics in CC? It IS a debate group, right?
I used the word "debate" too much and I hate myself

It is a debate group but there are a ton of new users right now from the viral Twitter post, so it’s expected for some of them to make a mistake when posting. CC is also an auto join group so when making a post the new users may not be aware of what CC is. 
A person making an honest mistake doesn’t annoy me. I’m more annoyed by ridiculous posts like do you like ketchup or mustard better. And the many regular CC users who know the rules but post anyway. They usually start it with “this isn’t controversial but. . .” 🙄

I said yes, but honestly I don't even know anymore. It's more of a let's be racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist group now or a let's whine about people being too sensitive group

Yes it gets right on my tit. CC is meant to be a debate group, but lately it’s filled with selfies, anon relationship questions and a whole bunch of other nonsense. 
Plus, bigots are running raaaampaaant.

It’s not purely politics. I don’t get too annoyed with the off topic questions because I just hide them or ignore them. I get a little annoyed with people who demand every post be framed as an open ended question that’s completely neutral. You can comment your viewpoint and debate about almost anything if you want to.
