Sex After Having a Yeast Infection???

Help!!! I had a yeast infection earlier this week and today I decided to have sex with my boyfriend. This isn’t new and we are each others only partners ever. But he couldn’t even get the tip in the whole way without it hurting SO BAD. It felt like I was too tight or something but he and I felt inside with a finger (which did not hurt) and he said that it felt normal and it did. We tried to do it again later and it did not feel any better. Have any of you ever experienced this? What is happening? Will it get better?
