Do You Feel That Child Abuse Is Being Looked Over?

There are soo many videos and stories pretty much everywhere that have to do with child abuse at home,schools,daycares,etc... and I feel that child abuse is somewhat being neglected because if there was something being done about it ...it wouldn't keep happening so much and getting worse and worse by the day ...it sucks that you can't trust putting your child in someone's care these days without something happening to them ...not saying that it happens all the time and to everyone but it is a very common issue these days that I feel like is being completely overlooked

No, if anything I think all those stories draw more attention to it than ever before. 
I do believe protective services offices are chronically understaffed and under funded though.

as someone that has abused as a child, I'm going to get honest with you. it's not looked over. it's never been looked over. children are often scared to get help. or speak up. teachers often take the naughty children for just being that. a naughty child when really they don't know any different.
An abusive situation is never easy to see unless you see the damage left on them. abuse of any kind is hard to pick out but it's never been looked over.

Sometimes. I don’t know why, but one day I somehow ended up on YouTube watching videos of “returning child to abusive home because CPS is making us” or something like that. I don’t remember the exact circumstances. It was really sad, though. I think abuse is overlooked and often due to stereotyping due to race, socioeconomic status, and more. I came from a rich white family and my abusive parents were never dealt with.

I think that when the abuse is on the line on what's abusive and what's not, people tend to look over it (not saying it's not dealt with). Like, when a teenager says that their parents are being abusive (like locking them inside the house, overcontrolling, verbal and even physical abuse), I see lots of people saying that it's a teenager thing, they're overreacting, they just are naturally rebellious...

Most definitely overlooked . I work with children and have reported abuse many many times and nothing was done about it. Or they did an 'investigation' and said they couldn't do anything because the child is non verbal. It's heartbreaking how many times this has happened at my job. Problem is there's not enough social workers and too many cases.

I think it’s at an all time low? 50 years ago children weren’t believed, they were accused of lying and punished for lying. That’s not the case now, we’re more protective of our children than ever

Being that my mother took pictures of my bruises and reported the record where I had to be on crutches due to my father's abuse and all we were told was ,"we will look into it," and nothing ever happened passed that even though there was also a police report stating that I was picked up and flung into a wall I would say that child abuse is not being dealt with in the correct way since it was never looked into, there was never a case made against him, and no charges were ever filed even in a situation where my life, and my 3 other siblings lives were endangered.

As a survivor of Child abuse and sexual child abuse I can say that sadly, this problem will probably never decrease in the future. A lot of circumstances play a vital role in the numbers of cases around the world. Poverty, upbringing, family history, social interaction, mental health, power and chemical imbalances just to name a FEW. Departments are WAY understaffed and I believe some tend to be undertrained but until we get a majority of the circumstances that I mentioned above under control, the problem will only continue to thrive and innocent children will suffer. ALSO: Just as a friendly reminder and tip, keep aware of your surroundings!! Notice things even if they are not your business! Act if something doesn't FEEL, LOOK and/or SEEM right! Ignoring makes you guilty by association!
