Baby banging head

So this is weird... but my daughter will be 11 months in 2 days and for at least the last 4 months she will bang her head on just about anything. She will sit in her crib and hit the back of her head against the back of her crib. She will stand on the bathroom counter and face the mirror when I’m putting lotion on her and hit the front of her head against the mirror. It’s funny but also makes me wonder if this is normal behavior. I dot really remember any of my friends telling me their kids did this.
