Our beautiful girl(

Our beautiful girl(!) Bridey Elizabeth was born on 1/20 via unplanned c section. After almost 40 hours of intense labor, lack of sleep/food and no progress while pushing for hours, a c section was the obvious option and I'm glad we did! Our almost 10lb daughter was face up and stuck...she wasn't getting out vaginally.

I spent my whole pregnancy learning hypnobirthing and mentally preparing myself for a vaginal, unmedicated birth, but Bridey had other plans. My point: be good to yourselves and try not to get completely attached to any particular plan. You're amazing no matter what!
