Discipline

SO and I️ have different views on discipline. I️ plan on using verbal, positive affirmations and constructive criticism when our girl does something inappropriate/wrong. Especially in the earlier years. My SO keeps suggesting “light pops” on the hand or butt. I️ feel using words and explanations work so much better. I️ was rarely spanked and never in trouble. He was spanked and still stayed in trouble. Will/do you spank? Why or why not? What other methods work for your family?
