Ectopic with laparotomy and right oophrectomy

I recently had a miscarriage on dec. 10, 2017. We got pregnant shortly after before I even had my period.

Sadly, I kept spotting (11 days) since I found out and kept having severe right sided abdominal pain off and on. Ultrasound couldn’t see anything 10 days ago. Said it was “too early” in my pregnancy.

Early Monday morning I woke with the worst pain in my right side and called my OB office. They got me in for an ultrasound finally after waiting in the ED for 2 hours first.

Radiologist read the ultrasound while I was there and immediately called my OB, and they had me in surgery within 2 hours. She had to remove my right Fallopian tube and blood from my pelvis where I had bled from the rupture.

My heart is broken....I really want another baby. I do have a sweet 15 month old boy at home who will make a great big brother. I’m feeling defeated.

Has anyone had a successful pregnancy after an ectopic? Just looking for advice and encouragement...while sitting in my comfy hospital bed.
