Really painful period! TmI

Hey ladies

So my bubba is 5 months old and I think I'm having my first proper monthly. I've bled since having her every 2-3 weeks but this time round the cramps are really bad. I've had these cramps for 2 days and finally started bleeding and it's so heavy. Is this normal for a first proper period after having a baby?

I'm not exaggerating the stomach cramps are crippling! And that's coming from a women who had a natural home birth with no meds and would happily do it again over this!
