Cold medicine?

I’ve developed a nasty chesty cough that is killing my throat over night (from sick people at work 😑) and I’m 30 weeks pregnant... what cold medicine can I use ?? Help please 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

My doc said Robotussin DM for a cough. I am going through the same thing, upper respiratory infection for me though. I would get checked for the flu if I were you, it's nasty this year and you are at a higher risk for complications due to being pregnant. My doc also had to prescribe me an inhaler because I was wheezing when I coughed and they wanted to be sure it didn't develop into pneumonia.

Benadryl (which I usually save for night time to help me sleep), mucinex, and alcohol free robitusson for cough. (Last two only safe past 12 weeks)

Why not gargle water with salt twice a day. It helped me and also drink raw lime juice about one lime it burns your throat but soon you will feel much better. I prefer that than over the counter medicines

Poor thing! No fun to be pregnant and sick. I know for sure the cough medicine that’s known just as Tussin (at Walgreens, it is Wal-Tussin) is safe for us. If you have any questions, you can always go straight to the pharmacist at the drug store. They’ll usually come out and hand you the right product.

I would contact your OB, they should give you a list. Honestly, whenever I get sick while pregnant I just drink ridiculous amounts of hot water with lemon, honey and ginger. Try and rest more when possible (I know this one is difficult when you have kids/a job). Diffuse eucalyptus oil and have the humidifier going 24-7. Epsom salt bath soaks are great too for body aches and drawing out toxins
