No trophy for going natural you say?

I️t makes me cringe seeing women saying “you don’t get a trophy for birthing your baby natural” ... like, seriously? Your birthing experience is comparable to a sport or competition? My “trophy” will be the adrenaline rush that comes after my baby is here, the confidence I’ll have immediately following like “holy shit I️ really just did that”, looking at my baby and knowing all the pain in the world is something I’d willingly put myself through for her .. it’s not a bragging situation or something us women do to please anyone. So no, you don’t get a shiny tin trophy and no one bows down and kisses your ass but so what? Whether you have a say of you opting to be numb, go under the knife, or go natural, your decision should be for you and baby and what you think you need to do to ensure a safe delivery. Don’t want to feel anything then fine, but those of us that do damn sure aren’t doing it for a “trophy” or recognition, I️ can assure you that much. We don’t need one as we are not in competition with anyone or anything. With that being said, happy birthing to all, no matter which route you choose!!!
