What do you ladies focus on before you get pain meds while in labor?

This is my second baby due in April. I went as long as I could with my son before i got pain meds then the epidural. Any good videos, websites anything will help. How did you get through it if you went natural or even ended up having meds? TIA

Hypnobirthing breathing techniques are my favorite. My husband also applies pressure to my tail bone up until pushing, then he presses the top portion of my hips to open my pelvis more, which speeds it up considerably.

I’ve never gotten an epidural or any other pain meds. I learned to do half hypno birth, half breathing exercises. I’ve kind of combined the two and do what works for me. I also use essential oils to relax me which really helps with my pain management. Oh, I also labor and give birth in the water and it’s amazing for relaxation and pain relief
