fetal Doppler?

Question

anyone have one? I've been looking at them and seriously considering buying one.
my question is, has anyone used one themselves? was it easy to find the heartbeat or am I just going to give myself more anxiety not being able to find it. I feel like if I can find it it'll help with my crazy, I can just check the heartbeat and feel like everything is okay.

I lost one of my twins early in my pregnancy and my sister is about 11 weeks ahead of me and she let me borrow her doppler since she feels her little girl kicking all the time now. I was able to find it at about 12 and a half weeks for the first time. It didn't register on the doppler, so I just had to turn the volume up and listen well. It's just now started to show up on the doppler at 16 weeks. But I also have a larger belly, so that may make a difference.

I used one for my first pregnancy and loved it and then I used one for my second pregnancy and hated it, caused me soooo much stress and i ended up having a miscarriage.... I won’t be using it for this next one.

I'm getting one for sure when I finally get preggo! I wish I had one with my other pregnancies. if you are far enough along it gets pretty easy to find it.

It helps some people and drives others crazy. especially when you don’t know what you’re listening to or for. There was a lady on here a few days ago who freaked out because she was listening to her baby with the Doppler and the heart rate jumped from 140’s to 170’s. She didn’t know what was happening. I told her it was called an acceleration and was totally normal and a good thing. But I couldn’t imagine having to calm her down and explain a deceleration to her, which can happen too. 
Ultimately it’s your choice, but coming from a medical professional standpoint...I don’t think it’s a good idea.
