have you ever had to leave a dr. appt because your child threw a tantrum?

I had a pap today and my 3 yr old was fine, until I got to the room, she had an accident and used almost all of the sanitizer, threw the biggest tantrum I've ever seen. so I just left...I had to reschedule...they understood cuz they're all moms she said. Lol. I wasn't happy as I have a uti. And need it gone like now. it hurts and is uncomfortable as hell.....

If you have a UTI you need antibiotics ASAP. Find a babysitter and reschedule!

I don’t take my son to my appointments with me. I don’t even try it. I would call them and explain that you have a UTI though. My doctor will still prescribe antibiotics without an appointment. They just require you to stop by and give a urine sample, they’ll call it in.

update! she did 10x better today. Lol. I got in and got out and getting my medicine. so happy.

Kids have their own schedules and unpredictability so in these situations I try to always have hubby or a friend come with.

I take my stroller, make sure he has entertainment (video to watch, toys, etc). Doctors offices always drag ass so I assume & prepare to wait. 
I definitely wouldn't have left if I was sick. UTI's are so incredibly painful!! 
I always have a candy in my diaper bag as a last resort to silence my screaming child if need be. 
Hope you got the meds you need & are feeling better. Being a mama is so tough.

I had to take my 3 year old to every appointment while I was pregnant. She never acted up. The doctor and nurses always commented on how well behaved she was. It's because I bribed her and told her if she sat there and stayed quiet the whole time she could have a special treat after lol.

My daughter is 14 months and throws fits too screams and crys so I just make my husband go outside with her and she does lol she just gets bored.

My 1.5yr old daughter won't let strangers touch me so I have to get my husband or friend to babysit her. I took her with me once and as soon as they started taking my heartrate/blood pressure she started crying and wouldn't stop. My husband was holding her and it didn't make a difference, he had to carry her out of the room.
