When to Have Gender Reveal Party? (Read Description Before Voting)

So my husband is currently in the military, and we're stationed 33 hours away from our families. However, my husband will be getting honorably discharged from the service later this spring, but I still don't know exactly when. Initially we were planning to have a gender reveal party for our families and close friends when we move back to our home state, although my husband and I will definitely already know the sex at that point, eliminating any element of surprise for us. Recently though, one of my husband's co-workers and his wife offered to host us a gender reveal party while we're still here and I'm considering taking them up on it. Since they would be hosting it, we could still be surprised at our own party, and we could maybe even stream it live for family and friends back home to view. However, our closest loved ones wouldn't be able to be there in person. So, which should I do? Should I wait to have a gender reveal party until we move back to our home state? Or should we take our friends here up on their offer to host us a party before we move?
