So excited (but a little sad too)

Since having our daughter (who’s now 17 months), we only been away from her for 2 days (she was supposed to come with us on a weekend trip but got sick— it was too late to cancel our plane tickets.

Hubby and I are leaving for a 5 day/4nights birthday trip this Friday! We live in San Francisco and we’re just heading to Los Angeles but will make a drive to Las Vegas for a quick overnight trip (Drive down Friday after we arrive and come back Saturday).

This is the longest we’ve ever been away from her and though I’m excited I’m also a little sad. I cried the first time we went on a trip.

Hubby and I are incredibly lucky and grateful that my parents will be watching her so I know she’ll be in great hands!
