Toddler bed?

Question

When is it the right time to make the change? On the 26th my daughter will be 17 month. My problem is that I have a deep tear in my rotator cuff and it's getting harder and harder to get her out of the crib.also in the near future I'm going to be getting surgery on it. She falls asleep in my bed and my hubby puts her into her crib. Just want to make sure I'm not doing it to soon.

I’m not switching to a toddler bed until he’s like 2 or 3 unless he starts climbing out. I don’t have the patience for that

my son sleeps on a cot at school, has been since around 13 months. He does fine with it. At home, he's still in his crib, only because he hasn't tried to climb out yet and I'm not fixing something that isn't broken 😂 I'm sure he would do fine in one though.

We just switched our son to a twin bed with a foam bumper along the side so he can’t roll out. He loves his bed and even though he has always been a good sleeper I swear he sleeps even better in his bed than he did in his crib.

We have baby #2 coming in a few months so we needed the crib so we moved our 15 month old to a twin size bed with rails and she has done great since day one in it ... we get her to sleep then put her in it she never wakes up at night and when she is up in the morning she yells “hello” and I go in and she is playing with her stuffed animals and blankets on the bed ... idk if I’m just super blessed with a good child or what haha but it worked for us at 15 months so you could try and if they arnt ready you can always move them back to the crib for a little longer and try again

My daughter is 17 months and just climbed out of her crib for the 1st time about a week ago while down for an afternoon nap. She busted her lip as well as a bloody nose. Her pediatrician wanted us to go to the ER in case she fell wrong or something internal we couldn't see. As soon as she was discharged we we t to Babies R Us before they closed and bought her big girl bed. It took a couple nights to get used to and sometimes still wanders her room and is found elsewhere in the morning but we ended up modifying what was baby proof before with the crib to a totally toddler safe area.Every day it gets better and easier. If she has a safe space to wander alone and you feel she doesn't need the restraints of her crib, then it's okay to set up for her. Only you can make that decision for her...

my daughter is 17 months and has been sleeping in a twin bed with rails since she was 14 months old haha she absolutely lovesss her big girl bed and sleeps soundly in it. She used to wake up 4 times a night in her crib. Crib mattresses arent that comfy so I think she just loves her nice twin mattress haha

our almost 17 months old sleeps in her crib . In her sleep she moves around so much that I believe she might fell off for sure from toddler bed. She is all over bed. Not sure if we will change it soon .
