Beauty and the Beast?

Should my kids be allowed to watch the new Beauty and the Beast movie? I have yet to see it too. {haven’t seen it}

I didn't like it. I'm a conservative , so for a children's movie I don't like the homosexual/crossdressimg innuendoes, or that Gaston's weapon changed to a [unrealistically accurate for the era] gun.

Depends on your views. I personally won't let my daughter watch either one of the movies after dissecting it in my sociology class. But that's just me. Before the class, I didn't see anything wrong with the movie. Even though I've only seen the classic and not the one with Emma Stone.

how old are your kids? start with the original cartoon version if you’re concerned. the real life version is just as great! maybe a little darker for some but not scary or inappropriate by any means.

I loved it!!! I even tried to have my two boys watch it with me but all they hear is singing and there not interested. I think depending on their age, they won’t pick up on what anyone else notices in the moving like adults would. Shrek would be worse for children to watch if anybody wants to be worried about a classic movie being remade.
