First visit to the gynecologist

I’m past the age I should’ve first gone but I’m not sexually active. At 23, I’m a little nervous and was wondering what it’s been like for others? Should I... clean up? I don’t shave because I tried that all of twice and it was not that great. At the same time, I don’t want to go in there really hairy to put it plainly.

I’m pretty sure I’m going to get a full exam since I’m over 21 even if I’m not sexually active. I had my GP make a referral because I’ve been concerned about some things within my breasts, plus I’ve had abnormal issues with my periods for a couple of years but my doctors wrote it off as due to weight gain. Anyway, I am fat and that also makes me uncomfortable because of the stretch marks on my legs. Any experience with this?
