Thoughts about our fight?

My guy & I grabbed breakfast this morning & everything was fine. He needed to get an oil change so we stopped by the car dealership. While he was speaking with the mechanic, I walked over to the waiting area. One of the guys who works there started chatting with me. I found out that he attends my college & we are both trying to get into the same program. We were discussing entrance exams & campus preferences. So my bf comes over & puts his arm around me & rudely ushers me away in the middle of a convo! He was quiet & giving me one word answers from that moment on so I texted him later on asking what was that all about...

He never replied back. I mean....is this a normal reaction? I'm kind of turned off by how he reacted. I've not seen this side of him in the 5 months that we've been together. We're grown adults. I truly did not sense any flirting. We spoke all about the med program.

I agree with all of the other posts... He was jealous and insecure... What bothers me and should be a pretty large red flag that he had the nerve to go over and physically take you from the situation. That could lead to doing things like that more often which could lead to domestic violence problems.... Since it is only been 5 months, sounds about time to leave the situation.

He’s probably projecting and flirting with other girls, or probably will in the future. You haven’t been together that long so I say dump his ass and maybe you should try talking to that guy who will be in your classes again... 😂

Similar situation,  hope this helps: So one night my love and I went on a double date. we ended up at a very diverse club that played all types of music. My bf is not one to dance in public, but I will dance in the middle of wherever.. so he knows I like to dance salsa. I was dancing alone when this Hispanic man came to dance with me. My boyfriend didn't mind at first but as soon as we moved within four inches of each other my boyfriend literally took his arm and kinda "sliced" between us!! 😂 I understand why he did it now, but at the time I felt like you.. like wtf? we're just dancing and you are literally within walking distance. If he really loves you and appreciates who you are as an individual he'll learn to understand that part about you. I didn't stop dancing with other men but my boyfriend has also taken an interest in dancing #win. give him time if it's worth it. your relationship is still fairly young and you both are learning what makes each other tick. obviously speaking to other people isn't something you can just stop doing so be sure when youre making your point to also reassure him that you are team us. If he's like my boyfriend he may have some insecurities that he hasn't quite gotten over. good luck hun.

I say bravo for your responses. He was being immature and allowing his feelings to cloud his judgement. I was once accused by a friend of my SO's for flirting with him (the friend)! Like..wow how do your insecurities get so bad that you project them onto another person's wife??? I told him I don't know how to flirt, didn't even flirt with my SO when we were dating, and asked if flirting meant being cordial to another human being.

He may be slightly insecure and intimidated by that specific guy. Ha, ha, guys pms too! If he doesn't text back, screw it. When he wants to be a big boy and apologize for reacting like a jealous baby, he can contact you. Remember he had a choice to have joined the conversation to confirm his suspicions like a normal adult. There are plenty of guys in the world. You were just having a conversation, and you did nothing wrong. If he can't get over his ego being bruised, I'd consider kicking him to the curb. He obviously isn't mature enough to be in a relationship, so don't waste your time.
